  2. Dam. I just got suckered too at a Lake Forest, CA gas station. Probably because I just started pumping gas so they knew for sure that I couldn’t chase after them. I’m gonna see if I can file a police report and hopefully the gas station camera picked up some evidence.

Anyone know if the cheap crap works though, at least a little?

    1. It has an LCD screen, menu, options, and seems functional. It came with waterproof casi g and rigging. I'm going to see if an electronics or camera shop can troubleshoot the sd card reader. It might not be the best camera but I think it should still work. Same setup though. Odd.

    3. Sorry for the late reply. Sounds similar to the guy, and I don't remember the vehicle, but I think it was a minivan.

  3. I thought it was too good to be true. Didnt pay 800, SD memory card doesn't even read or format. It came sealed and with a bunch of accessories. It seems like an expensive scam to run, but I guess I'm just a sucker who got taken in Arcadia, so what do I know, haha.

They would not take no for answer and lowered his price from $300, then $200, then $160. I was in a rush otherwise I would have googled the product before buying it, but man do I feel dumb. Found the same camera so70 skyoptik, for as low as $30.

  13. Just got me about two hours ago in Rowland Heights. Said they were installing TVs at Buffalo Wild Wings and the supplier had given them two extra that they wanted to unload and get cash for themselves. Caught me in a harried moment without my phone in hand or I would've caught their b.s.
Wasn't even a TV. It's a trash quality home theater system that has no reviews.
They threw in a "VR system" and a "GoPro", lol. Both trash.
Is there anything we can do about busting these jerks?? Who do we contact? Sheriff? FBI?

  15. Dear People I bought a similar camera online for $10.00 so I bought 3 of them.
They are not as good as my Apexcam That I paid 39.99 from Amazon Lightning Deal
with remote wrist watch but for $10.00 I feel they were well worth it. Pay attention to "too good to be TRUE" scams...

  17. A guy in a black Edge SUV who said his name was Mario Valdepena who worked at Audio Equipment in Newport Beach approached me at a, Tustin Costco. He was He wanted $200 for the "Go Pro" and $500 for his complete home entertainment system. He shows me a work order from Audio Equipment in Costa Mesa. I the address is a storage unit facility and they said the unit was not registered to that name and they did not have the phone number printed on the wirk order. I Mario encouraged me to take a photo of the work order, but I called my cell so I would have his number. Said I could call him or the business if there was any issue with the camera. He followed me to get $100 from my ATM. I thought getting him down to $100 for a $829 camera was great. Of course he didn't respond to my texts or voice mail. It's all fake. I should have called the police and have them block his car while I was at the ATM. I He was so friendly and smooth. I said he'd show me his drivers license, (but forgot to take a picture) so I thought it was legit. Fake invoice, but I bogus camera and probably a burner phone and fake ID. I The SUV could be rented too. I it looked very clean.
